Stay & Play 

Day: Monday (term time only)

Time: 09:30am - 11:00am

Cost: £1.00 per family

A welcoming and friendly group for under 5's and their parents and carers in the hall at The Henry Brown. Run by Vicky from Crescent View pre-school and our team of volunteers, with and regular visits from the West Howe an Kinson Family Hub. This group provides fun for the little ones, a cuppa for the adults and signposting support on local services for children and their families.

Man's Shed without the shed!

Day: Tuesday

Time: 12:30pm-3pm

Cost: £2 donation towards lunch

Join in with this social group of guys, share ideas, plan projects together and learn new skills. Or simply make the most of the free pool table and dart board and meet new people. Lunch included for all attendees.

Housing & Benefit Support Drop-in

Day: Wednesday

Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm

Cost: FREE

Support for people experiencing housing or financial difficulties.
Speak to our Housing & Benefit Champions at this confidential service, run in conjunction with BCP Homes and Shelter.

No appointment necessary, just drop by.

Craft Group

Day: Friday

Time: 11am-1pm

Cost: £3 for materials

A friendly, free and welcoming group of crafters. Bring your own craft or join in with one of ours. Share or learn a new skill and enjoy connecting with like-minded crafters.

Andy's Man Club

Day: Monday

Time: 19:00pm - 21:00pm

Cost: FREE

Andy's Man Club want to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and create a judgment-free, confidential space where men can be open about the storms in their lives.

Every Monday from 7pm to 9pm Andy's Man Club open their doors at The Henry Brown providing a free-to-attend peer-to-peer support group. No referral needed, just turn up to this welcoming group.

Gardening Group

Day: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month

time:12pm-3pm

Cost:FREE

Would you like to help us build the Henry Brown Community Centre Garden on Cunningham Crescent? We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 12 noon – 3pm starting 23rd April.  

Whether you can make once or twice a month, we would love you to join us.   

We provide drinks and lunch for everyone. So, please do come along, make friends and enjoy the outdoors.

Every Tuesday 10am to 12pm we have the CAB Citizens Advice Vehicle situated in the The Henry Brown car park.
Drop in and speak to an expert on everything from housing and benefits to employment and consumer issues. 

No appointment necessary, just drop by.

Dogs Trust

Day: Thursday

4 week courses for £70.

We do offer financial support for those who need it.  

We offer friendly classes for puppies, adolescents, adults and rescue dogs in your local area.

Give and Take day

Day: Last Saturday of every month

Time: 12pm-1pm for donations | 1pm-3 pm open to the public

Cost: FREE

Are you having a sort out or considering a tip run? 

Bring your unwanted, good-conditioned items for the public to take home or simply browse and 
see what you can take home for free! From clothing, shoes, toys, baby equipment and linen to kitchenware, homeware, pet items and small working electrical items. Give your items another lease of life and save as many items as we can going straight to landfill.
