Community Cooking Sessions
Our Community Cook Nicola also shares her love of food through a variety of community cooking sessions, bringing people together to cook, learn, and connect. (These sessions are currently kindly supported by Dorset Community Foundation.)
Family Cooking Club
After School Spoon
A relaxed, hands-on family cooking club. Over two fun filled hours, we'll whip up easy, budget-friendly recipes that are perfect for home cooking on a budget.
Designed for kids (4-16 years) and their grown-ups too! These affordable sessions are all about teamwork, skill-building, and tasty results (and memories!).
You'll learn practical kitchen tips, cook side-by-side with your little ones, and sit down together to enjoy what you've made. It's the perfect way to end the school day.
Sessions include:
🥕 All ingredients
📖 Easy-to-follow recipe cards for you to reuse at home
🥡Food to take away - you get to take home everything you make!
1 or 2 adults plus 1 child £5, 2 children £8, 3 children £12.

9th December: Sausages rolls & festive mince pies.
17th February: Mac & Cheese with heart shaped garlic bread

Gather & Graze
Community Cooking Sessions
Gather & Graze is a relaxed community cooking club.
Join us for a hands on community cooking experience.
Together, we’ll whip up simple, budget-friendly dishes.
Each session includes:
🥕 All ingredients
📖 Easy to follow recipe cards for you to reuse at home
🤝 A welcoming, no pressure space to connect with others.
Whether you’re a confident cook or just starting out, everyone’s welcome at our table.
Bring your curiosity (and an appetite!) and leave with leftovers, plus maybe a few new friends too.
Suitable for ages 16+ come alone or bring a friend!

Join us most Wednesday's for our popular Lunch Club, hosted by our amazing Community Cook Nicola and our dedicated volunteers. Enjoy a warm welcome and a hearty, home-cooked two-course meal for just £7. Stick around afterwards for optional prize bingo at 1pm—£1.50 for six games.
Booking is required at least a week in advance. To find out what’s on the menu download the latest poster. To reserve your meal pop us a call. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs when booking.

We're a Community Cooking Kit Host
The Friendly Food Club have created community cooking kits that include everything a group needs to host small group community cooking sessions, from induction hobs to measuring spoons.
We are proud to have been chosen as one of their community locations across Dorset. This means if you are a community-based group in Dorset or BCP, you can hire one of these free and collect them right here at the Henry Brown Centre.
