We are delighted to ask a new person to join our team in West Howe. West Howe Community Enterprises has delivered outcomes for the people of West Howe for over a decade, and a new 5-year funding package means the charity can now look to grow in staff, and grow in stature.
As a member of our team, you find working in West Howe both challenging and rewarding.

As the Skills and Activity Co-Ordinator, you will be expected to undertake the following:
• Ensure the delivery of a range of skills and wellbeing activities to meet the needs of the local community, including learning and leisure opportunities
• Working closely with the team, ensure WHCE’s base is well used and generates income for the charity
• Develop, plan and coordinate a skills and wellbeing programme to provide opportunities to the local community. This will include one off workshops and short courses and one off and regular community activities.
• Develop successful relationships with external partners who may fund or deliver activities for the local community or refer people to the programme.
• Recruit individuals from the local community to engage with the skills and wellbeing programme.
• To review the outcomes of all activities and take this into account as new offers are developed.
• Manage the budget for Skills and Activities
• Market the Henry Brown centre to secure both one off and ongoing bookings.
• Manage venue hire, making bookings, arranging access with key holders and scheduling cleaning and any set up requirements as appropriate.
• Report and chase maintenance issues.
